The dial layout cleverly mimics a robot's head: the tourbillon at 12 o'clock serves as the "brain," the rotating hour and minute discs at 3 and 9 o'clock act as the eyes, and the "battle-axe" shaped rotor at 6 o'clock forms the mouth. MB&F has also incorporated a "protective visor" feature; by rotating the crown on the left side of the case, a pair of colored mechanical panels slides across the dial to cover the robot's face. This system operates independently of the movement structure and is available in three colorways: blue, green, and purple.
The newly developed HM12 automatic movement comprises 646 components, beats at 21,600 vph, and offers an 84-hour power reserve. Turning the watch over reveals that the movement's bridges are also shaped to resemble a robot's head.
